Following extensive research of international technical and vocational training systems Qatar Petroleum (QP) selected the Australian technical qualifications, including the vocational system’s quality framework, to support high quality technical training of Qataris in the areas of process plant operations, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and security.

  • MEM20105 – Certificate II in Engineering
  • BSB20112 – Certificate II in Business
  • CPP20212 - Certificate II in Security Operations
  • CPP30411 – Certificate III in Security Operations
  • CPP40407 – Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management
  • MEM30405 – Certificate III in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Trade)
  • MEM30205 – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
  • MIL20109 – Certificate II in Sampling and Measurement

Chisholm has secured a four year contract with QP for the training of trainers; moderation and validation of assessment of every trainee in technical areas: process; mechanical; electrical; instrumentation; security and administration; provision of a panel of specialist moderators and assessors; annual quality audits and continuous improvement strategies, report presentation; providing Australian qualifications to graduates; and providing educational advice and support.

Twice a year Chisholm sends a team of moderators to Doha to conduct moderation and validation of student assessments and to conduct a quality audit against the Australian ‘Standards for Registered Training Organisations’.

Results are then entered into Chisholm’s student administration system and if all units of competency are achieved, an Australian nationally recognised certificate is issued.

Chisholm also conducts training programs for QP staff in TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and provides workshops on educational issues on a needs basis.
