What is STEM?

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. In this short course learn how to successfully embed these concepts in your Early Education program.

This is a practical workshop that will explore ideas for play spaces, experiences, intentional teaching and routine experiences with an understanding of the links to Montessori philosophy.

Explore how to support strong foundations of STEM knowledge and thinking with children at all ages and stages of development.

This short course covers:

- Why STEM education is important
- The benefits of incorporating STEM in and Early Education and Care service
- Practical application of STEM experiences
- Unpacking STEM, what does each component comprise of
- How to support children and integrate knowledge
- Plan and extend on children's learning to develop a deep understanding and knowledge
- Inquiry based learning
- How this links to Montessori principles
- How to promote STEM and involve parents in the program
- After successfully completing this course, you will receive a Statement of Attendance
