Specialise in the field of sport and recreation and inspire others to get active and learn new skills

When you complete this combined sport development and sport and recreation management course, you’ll be ready to work in the sport and recreation industry or continue into a range of degree studies. The course has two streams - one for students interested in a generic sport and recreation program to help them identify and prepare for a range of roles within the industry. The second stream is linked to Chisholm's Sports Academy which assists aspiring athletes to reach their full potential in sport and study while providing them the skills and knowledge to gain employment in the sports industry.

During the course, you’ll learn about sports psychology, sports science, nutrition strategies, sport and recreation program development, group facilitation, events, health promotion activities, project management, client health assessments, education, facility and equipment supervision, coaching and instruction, and developing training programs.

Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Development

Chisholm’s partnership with La Trobe University has continued to develop and Chisholm is excited to be able to offer for the first time a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Development at a Chisholm campus.

The course will be launched in 2019 and will cover themes such as coaching principles, sports technology, exercise science and skill acquisition. The new degree will be offered at the Chisholm Cranbourne campus, the home of the Chisholm Sports Academy.

The diploma to degree pathway is one that Chisholm recognises as a unique learning journey.  It allows students flexibility and the chance to gain multiple qualifications whilst building skills, knowledge and employability.
