Chisholm’s Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree which has been accredited by Engineers Australia, allows you to specialise in either Mechatronics or Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology. It will prepare you for a career as an Engineering Technologist, a career in high demand both locally and across the world.

How are the specialisations different?

The Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree is based around fifteen core subjects that focus on fundamental engineering technology principles, knowledge and practice. These fifteen core subjects are delivered within the first half (1 ½ years) of the course to both Mechatronics and Mechanical and Manufacturing streams. Students move into their area of specialisation in years two and three. Mechatronics stream students enrol in twelve specialisation subjects. Mechanical and Manufacturing stream students enrol in thirteen specialisation subjects.

What makes a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree from Chisholm unique?

  • The degree includes an eight-week work placement which will be facilitated by Chisholm Work Placement Coordinator.
  • The degree is accredited by Engineers Australia.
  • Students are exposed to a broad range of technical subjects, skill sets and industry trends.

Where to after your degree?

  • After completion of the course, you will be able to apply for graduate position such as a mechanical, manufacturing, systems or project engineer.
  • Further studies such as a Master of Engineering or Master of Business Administration can be undertaken.
